Residencies

Micro Residencies last a period of 3 months. You divide your time 50/50 between your own artistic/research practice and current Furtherfield projects. The Micro Residency includes a flex-desk at Furtherfield Commons in Finsbury Park, free wifi, light refreshments and a network of people interested in disrupting and democratising art and technology. You will be provided with up to 2 one-to-one exchange or mentoring sessions (depending on the duration of the placement) with one of the Directors and you have the option to host up to two of your own research-driven workshops or events in the Commons.

Maco Residencies, which last beyond 3 months and lead to a major development in artistic/research practice can be arranged subject to funding. We regularly partner with universities and independent research institutions to support new work and produce projects and publications. The Macro Residency includes support tailored to the specific project but again includes a flex-desk at Furtherfield Commons in Finsbury Park, free wifi, light refreshments and a network of people interested in disrupting and democratising art and technology.

To apply please send a 1 page CV and 1 page cover letter on why you’d like a Micro or Macro Residency to info@furtherfield.org. We review applications in monthly cycles and will be in touch within 30 days of your application.
